FLASHBACK TO DAMON’S LIFE IN 1970s NEW YORK — Realizing that Elena needs some time away from Mystic Falls, Damon takes her to New York City, where he lived and partied hard in the 1970s. When Rebekah also shows up in New York, she’s impressed with Elena’s secret agenda. Flashbacks reveal Damon’s hedonistic life in the underground club scene and a complicated encounter with Lexi. Meanwhile, Caroline and Stefan try to convince Klaus that it would be in his own best interest to help them track Silas down, and Bonnie struggles to keep her grasp on reality and do the right thing. the shane thing confuses me... what is his dead wife going to give him comfort? Are we going to have ghost sex or something?

who knows... JP's even kind of messed up Shane to me. He used to be this crazy guy with a plan who was out-smarting everyone...

he still is but now he's this crazy guy whose out smarted people but who thinks his dead wife was actually talking to him as he lay on the ground bleeding and her words were " its okay" that he was bleeding. I mean, whether it let me see a departed loved on or not if they ever said "no, its okay" that your bleeding I'd probably run in the other direction as fast as my short stocky legs could take me

I know that was so weird but it probably was because the spell only works if they feed the well enough blood.

Still think it is Silas who is playing Caitlin to get somebody actually waking him up.

probably.... it makes more sense than it actually being his dead wife who just happens to hanging out in the cave where this ancient dead witch / warlock his entombed alive underneath the ground.

I mean, really? That would be an awful big coincidence if it was his wife... my bet is its Silas. Kind of like the first evil, takes the shapes of many dead people.

yep... though I honestly can even compare anyone of the trio to Buffy-Angel-Spike.


Spike was a douche in the beginning but I loved him... Damon? Not so much.
